Before you transfer
- Unlock the domain Turn off the registrar/transfer lock in your current provider's control panel.
- Get the EPP / authorization code Your current provider issues it. It is single-use and usually emailed to the registrant address.
- Check the WHOIS email works Approval mail goes to the domain's registrant address, so make sure you can read it.
Transfers are refused by the registry within 60 days of a registration or a previous transfer. Once submitted, the losing provider can take up to 7 days to release a domain.
